The Chevy "606" bellhousing is a 153 tooth aluminum bell with a 4-5/8"
center hole.It has no provision for a z-bar stud and could be used on
left hand drive cars. There are two styles of the "606".
One is unique to the GM A&G bodycars of the 78-87 era with Chevrolet engines.
The other is similar to the 3788383 and in fact has the # 383 on the inside.

The exterior of the two bellhousings are identical, except for the
transmission mounting face, were the Fork
Ball Stud is lowered 1/2".

The Clutch Fork Stud is 1/2" lower on the 78-81 A body bellhousing and has 606 molded into the stud boss.
Were as the other has 383 molded into the stud boss.
